Phil Miner
CEO
Phil Miner has over 30 years experience in the industrial distribution business. He graduated from the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University at College Station in 1981. After fifteen years of working in a family business, he started The Miner Corporation to focus on providing innovative ways to drive down costs and improve safety for Fortune 500 class companies. Since then, he has developed one of the highest growth privately held companies in North America serving clients in all 50 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

Jeff Schmeck
President & COO
Jeff Schmeck has been in the material handling industry for 25 years. Jeff graduated from Clarion University in Clarion, PA, with a degree in Management and Marketing. Jeff was our founding partner of Miner Fleet Management Group, our national service company providing 24 hour service and support to Fortune 100 companies. Jeff also is the Past President of several organizations including the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Food Bank, The Nissan Forklift President’s Advisory Council, and The Barrett Industrial Truck Dealer Council. He also serves as a board member for the United Way of Bexar County Appropriations committee. Jeff’s key role with Miner includes oversight of the execution of strategic planning for the organization.

David Janssen
Vice President of Distribution
David Janssen has almost 20 years experience in the warehouse equipment business. He started his career with Miner in 1986 after graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio. David has held many positions in Miner including Sales, Service Manager, and President of several Miner distributorships. In 1998 David opened the Miner Southwest office in Phoenix, Arizona. David was led back to his Texas roots and opened Miner Houston in 2000. Today, David’s key role at Miner is to oversee all sales and operations at the distributorships as well as key technology initatives that will facilitate the long term growth strategies of the organization. In his spare time, David can be found teeing it up on the golf course.

Steve Weaver
Vice President of Support Services
Steve Weaver has been a CPA for 26 years with the past seven years as the CFO of Miner. Steve graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1979. When he’s not busy crunching numbers, Steve enjoys fishing, hiking, and other outdoor sporting events. He’s also a former member of the New Braunfels Independent School District School Board, the Carl McCain Medical Foundation, the New Braunfels Rotary Club, and the Institute for Public Health, Education and Welfare. Steve’s key role with Miner is to oversee all operations of the organization.

Tra Tramonte
Vice President of Sales for Distribution - The Miner Corporation
Tra Tramonte has over 25 years experience in the industry. Prior to rejoining the Miner team in 2007, Tra was the Director of Sales for Kelley dock equipment. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics and was a founding partner in Miner North Texas in 2000. Tra’s primary responsibilities with Miner include working with the sales and marketing teams throughout the organization. Tra enjoys spending time with his family, college sports, and hunting.

Rick Upton
Group Vice President of Operations
Rick Upton has over 22 years of manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, general management, and sales experience with Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Miner in 2007, Rick owned and operated his own business in franchising, B2B sales, and service. Rick also spent 17 years with Pepsi Cola, an international beverage corporation. He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Packaging and has served on several non-profit boards including Avenues Counseling Center, Boys Town USA, Inner City Games, and as President of the San Antonio Food Bank. Rick’s role is to lead all sales and operations at Miner Fleet Management Group.

John Cadena
President - Miner Houston
John Cadena is a 1987 graduate of Texas State University. He has 16 years in the warehouse equipment business and was recently named President of Miner Houston after successfully leading their sales efforts for the past five years. John is a past member of the City of West University Safety Committee. He is also a member of the Whitehall Club of Houston and the Sons of the Republic of Texas – San Jacinto Chapter. John’s key role at Miner Houston is to oversee the operations of the sales and service team and business development including project bidding and oversight. John’s passion extends to the outdoors where he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Brad Wicks
President - Miner Southwest
In 2002 Brad joined the Miner team as the President of Miner Southwest. With over 23 years in the industry, Brad has seen just about everything. In addition to a wealth of knowledge on material handling equipment, Brad has a Marketing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Outside the office, he enjoys a variety of activities including scuba diving, snow skiing, golf, tennis, and fishing. Brad is an active supporter of MDA and Hispanic Youth Soccer. Brad’s key role at Miner Southwest is to oversee the operations of the sales and service team, including business development, project bidding and oversight.

Paul Anguiano
President - Miner El Paso
Paul Anguiano joined Miner six years ago. He was born and raised in El Paso and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. Prior to joining Miner, Paul was involved in the tilt wall construction and forming and shoring business. Paul is active in the El Paso Association of Builders and is the President of the Sales and Leads Exchange of El Paso. In addition, Paul is actively involved with the Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s Home. He also enjoys golf, traveling, and supporting the UTEP Miner’s. Paul’s key role at Miner El Paso is to oversee the operations of the sales and service team and business development including project bidding and oversight.

Mike McAuliffe
President - Miner Florida
Mike McAuliffe is a material handling industry veteran with almost 40 years of experience. He graduated from Cleveland State with degrees in management and marketing. Prior to joining Miner in 2006, Mike worked in Cleveland and Pittsburgh before making Florida his home in 1986. His vast industry experience includes manufacturing, sales, and new market start-ups. Outside of the office, Mike enjoys his family, golf, boating, and the Florida wildlife.

Chris Galvan
Director, Distributor Service Operations
Chris Galvan graduated from Texas A&M in 1996 with a degree in Business Management. He began his career with Miner over 20 years ago and has held many positions within the company including Service Professional, Service Coordinator, and Service Manager. In 1998, Chris founded the Miner Southwest Service Department. Chris’ key role at Miner is Director of Distributorship Service Operations where his responsibilities include overseeing the day to day operations of Miner’s service departments throughout Texas, Arizona and Florida. Outside the office, Chris enjoys working with Habitat for Humanity, racing, boating, and golf.

Robert Villegas
Vice President of Training and Technical Support
Robert Villegas has 14 years of experience in the warehouse equipment business. He’s a graduate of Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Robert has held several positions at Miner including Service Professional, Service Coordinator, and Service Manager. His technical knowledge and experience have helped him tremendously in preparing for his current role as Vice President of Operations at Miner Fleet. His experience really comes in handy when troubleshooting those pesky problems that just don’t want to go away for Miner Fleet’s Fortune 100 customers. Outside the office, Robert enjoys target shooting.
