The Right Door for the Opening – All High-Speed Doors are not Created Equal

Before

Houston, TX- Baker Oil Tools provides services for the oil and gas industry and has roots that date back to the 1900’s. Baker has a long history of weathering business storms and coming out a stronger company and they need their equipment to do the same. They had invested years before in high speed doors but had issues with high wind-loads at the door openings. In addition the older doors had bottom coil-cords that connect the safety edge to the control panel. These cords would stretch and get in the way of moving equipment. ‘They were constantly resetting the doors and replacing the coil cords’.

After

Craig Laskowski, Equipment Sales and Service Specialist, asked a lot of questions and listened to the customer. He then provided Baker with a proposal for the Albany Ultra Tough High Speed Door. The Albany Ultra Tough Door solved both of Bakers problems. The Ultra Tough Door does not use a coil cord for the bottom bar of their doors, therefore eliminating problems with it tripping the photo eyes.  The door will withstand winds up to 88 mph and is built from impact resistant, black SBR rubber. Originally designed for mining operations, this rugged door is built to operate in the toughest conditions. Miner provided the door and complete turn-key installation.
