ACR Quality Communications called Miner Central Texas to address the problem of a broken spring that rendered their large 21’x12’ sectional door inoperable. Service Professionals Weyland Schaefer and Stephen Kell quickly arrived on site and promptly replaced both right hand side springs. Upon arrival, they also discovered a broken roller chain, which the operator uses to drive the shaft and operates the door up and down. Weyland and Stephen also repaired this issue and the door was back up and operational within two hours.
While wrapping up the initial service call, the customer asked if Weyland and Stephen would be willing change out their warehouse light bulbs. Without hesitation, the service professionals graciously obliged, thus fulfilling the “& more” element of Miner Doors, Docks, & More.

Miner Southwest received an early morning call from a Department Store Automotive Shop stating that they needed broken glass boarded up on one of their service bays. The Miner Southwest team quickly dispatched Service Professional Jason Holtz, who was on site by 8 a.m. Jason quickly realized that the repair was much more complex than just broken glass. Upon arrival he learned that the door had been hit by a large diesel pick-up truck which destroyed the bottom three sections of the door. As a result the bottom half of the door was pushed outside of the building and the door was no longer safe to operate.
After the inspection analysis, Jason secured the severely damaged door in the opening before removing, straightening, and re-installing each of the damaged sections. Steel was added to reinforce the sections to prevent the door from collapsing and plywood was installed to cover the missing glass. By 11:30 the door was safe and secure!
Replacement custom aluminum and glass sections were immediately manufactured and were installed as soon as they were ready. The customer had no worries that anyone could be injured by the door or of any potential break-ins at their shop after hours.

When a local Dallas area food manufacturer called on a Thursday morning to inform us that their hydraulic leveler had stopped working, was leaking oil and required a crane to raise it back up, Miner North Texas sprang into action. Service professional Ludmil Savov arrived within the hour and after safely securing the 1,000 lb. dock leveler, determined that a hydraulic hose had busted. Oil was everywhere and trucks were waiting to be unloaded.
Ludmil poured absorbent material on the oil, had the exact-sized hose
installed within 90 minutes and topped off the fluid level. The entire
job was complete and the customer up and running within a few hours
of the initial call. Not only did Ludmil get our customer running, but
he cleaned up the mess caused by the oil.
According to Ludmil, “our customers depend on us, when they have a problem, we have a problem”. “It really feels great to help solve problems during my work day, and I feel that I have made a contribution”.
