Miner Corporation Is Awarded 2 Wins For The Aggie 100

The Miner Corporation had two of its divisions make the 2007 Aggie 100 listing: Miner Fleet Management Group (#16), located in San Antonio and Miner North Texas (#84 ), located in Dallas. Miner Fleet Management Group passed 500 percent in annual growth.

The companies on the Aggie 100 -- a list of Texas A&M University alumnus owned or led firms produced a combined revenue of more than $3.3 billion in 2006. The list also named one Texas A&M alumnus who has had four companies on the list over the three years of its existence: Phil Miner, class of 1980. These companies are Miner North Texas, Miner Southwest, Miner Houston and Miner Fleet Management Group, which has made the list twice. Of the companies making the 2007 list, 44 also appeared on the 2006 list -- and only nine firms made the list all three years. Miner Corporation is one of those nine companies.

Aggie 100 Party, November 29

On Nov. 29, Miner Fleet will host the First Annual Aggie 100 Celebration Tailgate Party. More than 400 people will be invited, including fellow Aggie 100 winners and Aggie alumni. The Web site, www.mineraggie100.com, has details and will provide a live video feed to any who wish to view the party from out of town. The Web site will also have 2008's agenda after the event and photos and video from the event. Miner is excited to bring Aggies and non-Aggies together for fun and celebration of fast growth.

About the Aggie 100

Applicants are ranked by compound annual revenue growth over a two-year period. Aside from being able to demonstrate revenue growth, each company must be Aggie-owned or Aggie-led and had revenues of at least $100,000 in 2004. The firms must also operate in a manner consistent with the Aggie Code of Honor. The threshold to make the list was a two-year compound growth rate of slightly more than 30 percent. The average company on this year's list grew by more than 64 percent between 2005 and 2006. The Aggie 100 was created by the Mays Business School's Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship of Texas A&M University.
