To keep up with growing demand, Miner Holding Company is expanding its presence in San Antonio – moving its distribution business, The Miner Corporation, from New Braunfels to the more than 18,000 square feet of space currently leased by The Miner Corporation’s regional division, Miner Central Texas, at 4848 Whirlwind Drive in Northeast San Antonio. The two companies will share the property for about 12 months, while The Miner Corporation looks for a larger property.

"San Antonio is an ideal location for us because of its availability of facilities,
its proximity to our customers and its accessibility to the airport.”
– Philip T. Miner, Founder and Chairman, Miner Holding Company

The Miner Corporation will use the facility as headquarters for its regional distribution businesses, which serve local and regional Fortune 500 clients in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida and the Republic of Mexico. The Miner Corporation delivers worry-free service  for  facilities maintenance professionals who operate complex equipment. It eliminates high downtime costs through 'round the clock repair service, cost-saving solutions, planned maintenance programs, safety audits and training and regulatory compliance support.

Out of about 140 full-time employees and 150 sub-contract workers, The Miner Corporation (in addition to its staff at Miner Central Texas) will employ 11 at its Whirlwind Drive location. Miner Holding Company already has another division based in San Antonio - its international and national service company Miner Fleet Management Group, which is headquartered at 17319 San Pedro Ave., suite 500.

Based in New Braunfels, TX, Miner Holding Company's founder and chairman Philip T. Miner said bringing The Miner Corporation to San Antonio provides better accessibility for the company and its customers.

"San Antonio is an ideal location for us," Miner said. "It will be quite a benefit for us to have both of our San Antonio offices just 10 minutes from the airport."

Miner launched the business in 1994 to help Fortune 500 companies drive down costs on warehousing and retail equipment and improve jobsite safety. As one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., Miner leaders are poised to make the firm the dominant facilities maintenance company in North America. It already has over 8,000 customers with household names such as Wal-Mart, CVS Pharmacy and Toys "R" Us.

In the past decade, The Miner Corporation has acquired or created six subsidiary companies which serve nearly 60 percent of Fortune 500 companies on a regional basis.

Since Miner's inception, the company has received numerous accolades. It  was recently ranked one of the Top 50 private companies in San Antonio by the San Antonio Business Journal. Miner Fleet Management Group and Miner Houston (one of The Miner Corporation’s six subsidiaries) were also named to the 2008 Aggie 100 list of the world's fastest-growing businesses owned or led by a Texas A&M alumnus.

In 2006, the first year of its eligibility, Miner Fleet Management Group leaped onto Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list at no. 210 of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies. In 2008, Miner Fleet cracked the Inc. 5000 list for the third year running, ranked ahead of more-celebrated notables such as San Antonio-based Rackspace Managed Hosting. Miner Fleet saw 319 percent revenue growth between 2004 and 2007.

Miner is the internationally recognized leader in delivering worry-free service for facilities maintenance professionals who operate complex equipment. Miner solves problems, eliminating high downtime costs through 'round the clock repair service, cost-saving solutions, planned maintenance programs, safety audits and training and regulatory compliance support.
