Miner Holding Company's Roots In New Braunfels
Fifteen years ago, Miner Holding Company founder and Chairman Philip T. Miner started a fledgling facilities maintenance company in New Braunfels, with just three employees. Since 1994, the now multimillion-dollar company has separated into Miner Holding Company, its national/international service company Miner Fleet Management Group and distribution business The Miner Corporation.
"New Braunfels has been the bedrock for our growth from San Antonio to Austin.
It's a great community, provides a great quality of life and is well located."

With 140 full-time employees, including 15 in New Braunfels, Miner Holding Company is determined to keep its roots in New Braunfels in spite of its growth. The Miner Corp. recently secured an additional 18,000 square feet of space in San Antonio and Miner Fleet Management Group has maintained offices in San Antonio for the last seven years.
"The company's roots have always involved the I-35 corridor," Miner said. "New Braunfels has been the bedrock for our growth from San Antonio to Austin. It's a great community, provides a great quality of life and is well located."
Miner launched the business to help Fortune 500 companies drive down costs on warehousing and retail equipment and improve jobsite safety. As one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., Miner leaders are poised to make the firm the dominant facilities maintenance company in North America.
In the past decade, Miner acquired or created six subsidiary companies which serve nearly 60 percent of Fortune 500 companies on a regional or national basis. Company leaders are bracing for explosive growth, expecting to race past a quarter-billion dollars in sales by 2013.
Even with the current economic slowdown, Miner is confident in the company's continued expansion and investment.
Since Miner’s inception, the company has received numerous accolades. The Miner Corporation was recently ranked one of the Top 50 private companies in San Antonio. Miner Fleet Management Group and Miner Houston were named to the 2008 Aggie 100 list of the world’s fastest-growing businesses owned or led by a Texas A&M alumnus.
And in 2006, Miner Fleet Management Group (in its first year of eligibility) leaped onto Inc. Magazine's list of America's 5,000 Fastest Growing Private Companies at no. 210. In 2008, Miner Fleet cracked the Inc. 5000 list for the third year running, ranking ahead of more-celebrated notables such as San Antonio-based Rackspace Managed Hosting. Miner Fleet saw 319 percent revenue growth between 2004 and 2007.
"As Miner Corp. and Miner Fleet continue to grow the whole company will benefit, including our operations in New Braunfels," Philip Miner added.
