4 Miner Companies Named to Inc. 5000
Return
The Miner Corporation turns 15 on September 1st and three of its regional service companies, along with sister company Miner Fleet Management Group have made Inc. Magazine’s 2009 Inc. 5000 list. “We are all honored at Miner to be recognized by Inc. Magazine for the 4th consecutive year,” said Phil Miner, founder and Chairman for Miner Holding Company. “Our team, our people, our customers have made it possible to be listed amongst so many successful companies.”
This is not surprising, considering the Miner reputation for outstanding service and the ability to cut costs for its customers in the Facilities Maintenance and Waste Handling industry. Miner businesses provide sales, service and maintenance of retail and warehousing equipment for Fortune 1000 companies, specialty retailers, and manufacturing and distribution warehouses in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Three of the named Miner companies also placed in the top 100 of the Logistics & Transportation category on the Inc. 500/5000 list.
Miner Fleet ranks 1478 on Inc. 5000 list for 2009
This is the fourth year that Miner Fleet Management Group, based in San Antonio, has been recognized by Inc., coming in at 1478 overall and 28 in the Logistics and Transportation category. Miner Fleet is a state-of-the-art service call center serving facilities maintenance professionals across North America and in the Caribbean. Founded in 2001, with a three-year revenue growth of 217.2 percent, Miner Fleet has grown quickly to become one of the dominant materials handling companies in North America.
Inc. lists a trio of The Miner Corporation affiliates
The Miner Corporation oversees the regional distribution businesses of Miner Holding Company. Three of those businesses – Miner El Paso, Miner Houston and Miner Southwest – made the Inc. 5000 list for 2009, ranking 628; 3106 ;and 3759 respectively. For the top 100 in the Logistics and Transportation category, Miner El Paso ranked 13 and Miner Houston made it on the list at 76. Miner Houston also ranked 76 for the Inc. 500/5000 Companies by Metro Region for Houston/Sugar Land/Baytown, Texas.
Part of the criterion Inc. Magazine uses to rank companies is revenue growth over the past three years. Miner El Paso, which sells and services logistics equipment to retail, grocery, warehousing, and manufacturing facilities throughout West Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico saw a growth rate of 435.8 percent between 2005 and 2008. Miner Houston, which sells and services logistics equipment to retail, grocery, warehousing, and manufacturing facilities throughout Southeast Texas, grew by 86.4 percent. And Miner Southwest, which sells and services logistics equipment to retail, grocery, warehousing, and manufacturing facilities throughout Arizona, increased its revenue by 59.8 percent.
Miner Family Includes Three More
In these tough economic times, Miner is still seeing significant growth in all areas. Three other Miner Corp. regional service companies service the San Antonio (Miner Central Texas) and Dallas (Miner North Texas) areas of Texas and the Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville (Miner Florida) areas of Florida. While these companies didn’t make the Inc. 5000 list this year because they weren’t eligible yet to apply, they are no slouches in taking care of business for their service areas.
