Miner Holding Co.’s Steve Weaver Named Best CFO by The San Antonio Business Journal

(October, 2010) Steve Weaver, Chief Financial Officer for Miner Holding Co., was recently distinguished as one of the city’s 2010 Best CFOs by the San Antonio Business Journal. Weaver received this honor, along with 14 other outstanding CFOs from the San Antonio area, and was featured in the Journal’s 2010 Best CFO Awards section that ran in its October 8th issue. The honorees were also recognized at a luncheon.
CFOs from across the city were nominated by peers and colleagues. According to The Business Journal, nominations were recruited via “ads in our paper, our Website, and our partners who helped get the word out.” The Business Journal said, “In most cases, CFO nominations were made or supported by their employers. Most were selected in particular categories.” Weaver was selected as one of only two in the Small or Mid-Sized Private Company category.
According to The Business Journal, Weaver “has helped the $50 million wareroom equipment and associated repair service become one of the fastest growing companies in the country, ranking as high as 210 on Inc. Magazine’s 500.”
Weaver joined Miner Holding Co. in 1997. He oversees all financial operations of the organization. “Phil Miner, chairman of Miner Holding Company, said he “could not be more proud of Steve Weaver, because he is so deserving of this accomplishment.” Miner said, “Steve is an invaluable asset to our company, and we would not be where we are today without him.”
