Houston Distributing phoned Miner Houstonâ€™s John Cadena with a problem. Upon inspection of the facility, John determined that the â€œair curtain doorsâ€ were not maintaining the appropriate humidity levels and the fluctuation caused the bottles to sweat. When the bottles sweat, the cardboard got wet and became weak. The culmination of this process resulted in the boxes tearing, bottles tumbling to the floor and breaking, and loss of productivity.
Miner North Texas was awarded a $1.4 million contract with Honda Motor Company in Lincoln, Alabama. The project includes 42 FXs, Star 4 restraints, TKO doors and Flex Frames. In addition, Miner North Texas received the contract for 16 Rytec high speed doors and 31 Overhead Doors.
Miner Houston recently completed a 15 dock position job for Frito Lay. The project consisted of upgrading Rite-Hite mechanical docklevelers to Kelley FX docklevelers, upgrading dock seals to Kelley V-Seals, providing steel faced bumpers and cored bollards for door protection, replacing rolling steel doors with TKO Middleweight doors and installing APS light/fan combinations.
For the past three years the HEB Facility Alliance Team (Construction) has constructed an 18 hole miniature golf course. Vendors are invited to participate by "supporting a hole" and assist with award prizes. This year The Miner Corporation took their involvement a step further and created the first vendor sponsored hole.

Miner Houston recently completed the IKEA Store on the Katy Freeway in Houston, TX. The owner selected: Kelley FX dock levelers and Flex Frame Shelters. In addition, they installed Rytec Fast Seal high speed doors.
