Freedom and Flexibility

I’m excited to wake up every day as a Miner Corporation Expert Service Technician. The freedom and flexibility I have to service my 181-mile territory between Marco Island and Tampa, Florida, and work for any number of different customers keep me energized—and no two days are the same. At one customer, I’ll be working on a commercial door or loading dock, and the next stop I’m working to make sure an airplane hangar door is secure. Whatever the challenge, Miner has made sure they’ve invested in my technical training so I can do the job properly. And at the end of the day, I get to drive my service truck home knowing I did a good job.

What I like about working for Miner is how different each job is from any other. Sometimes, there’s a complex problem that takes me eight hours to solve, and other times it’s a quick two-hour visit. Either way, the sense of accomplishment I have at the end of each day is something you can’t put a price on.

When I started, I had no dock or door experience, but I was good working with my hands— and that was good enough for Miner. For the past seven years, the company has offered me the on-the-job opportunities to learn and grow as a person and a professional. The trust they have placed in me to get the job done right, right now, makes me feel like more than just a number. From the time I joined the company as an apprentice, Miner has made me feel like family, and I have appreciated the opportunities available to me.
